A cramped laundry room with skimpy clearance in the main traffic pattern from the garage drove this effective reconfiguration of a 3-room space. The dated style Primary Suite Bath featured an overabundant footprint that could bear sizing down, so we shifted the wall between the Laundry and Primary Bath two feet to enlarge the laundry room. We re- worked the Powder Room Bath’s awkward angle in between the two rooms to capture square footage for a needed large linen cabinet in the Primary Bath. The washer and dryer were converted to a stackable configuration, thus allowing for a generous L-shaped folding counter along with extra bulk storage and a hanging rod. The Primary bath transformed into an upscale retreat with a much larger shower, soaking tub, dual- sided bench seat, and a lovely furniture style double vanity.
The Powder Bath features a fun large scale print wallpaper from the owner’s mood board.
