I moved to Ann Arbor when I was 12 years old and still remember my first night here, walking into West Park for a Little League game while Stevie Wonder’s ‘I Was Made to Love Her’ played from someone’s transistor radio in the band shell. Love at first listen.
 

Over the ensuing decades, I’ve learned a few things and met a few people. I know the people who will help you with the unforeseen situations which arise when you buy or sell a home; they’re in my speed-dial. I would be pleased and honored to share my knowledge with you.
 

I owned and operated a successful family business in Pittsfield Township for more than 20 years. I was privileged to be a managing partner of an Ann Arbor institution, Metzger’s German Restaurant when John Metzger moved the business from downtown to Zeeb Road. You’ll find me to be hard working and attentive to detail. I’ll be straight with you, too; plenty of people will tell you only what they think you want to hear but neither of us have time for that. In my spare time, I write and grow vegetables. I’m a huge proponent of eating local foods and will introduce you to a farmer I know once you’re settled.
 

That band shell, by the way, the one in West Park? It hosted free concerts and radical speakers during the 1960s but eventually fell into disrepair. A few years ago it was renovated and once again hosts community concerts. That’s Ann Arbor, a place that honors its past while leading our region into the future. You gotta love it.
